Meet our team at Café21

At Café 21, it's our people who make us who we are.

From our newest team members to those who have been with us for over a decade, everyone plays a part in creating the friendly atmosphere our customers know and love. Whether it's serving your morning coffee, preparing your favourite breakfast, or simply making you feel welcome, our team are at the heart of everything we do.

We're incredibly proud of the people behind Café 21, so we'd like to introduce you to a few of the faces you'll see when you visit.

Meet Alice

Alice has been part of the Timbers Group family for the past three years, working Front of House at Café 21. If you've visited us recently, there's a good chance she's greeted you with a smile.

She loves chatting with customers and working alongside the team, helping create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Café 21 is known for.

When it comes to food, choosing a favourite is almost impossible, but the Smashed Avocado, Salmon Avocado Benedict and our Classic Bagel are always at the top of her list. Outside of work, Alice enjoys weightlifting and spending time in the gym, always looking to challenge herself and stay active.

Meet Olivia

Olivia joined the Café 21 team three months ago and balances her shifts with university life.

As a vegetarian, she's a big fan of the variety on our menu, with the Veggie Breakfast being her go-to choice.

For Olivia, the best part of working at Café 21 is the people. She loves getting to know our customers, having a chat, and being part of such a friendly team.

When she's not studying or working, you'll usually find her planning her next adventure. She's already travelled to Australia, has Canada next on her list, and enjoys hiking, reading and exploring new places whenever she can.

Meet Georgia

Georgia's story is a special one.

She first came to Café 21 on work experience when she was just 15 years old before landing a Saturday job as a pot wash. Twelve years later, she's worked her way through the kitchen, helped out Front of House, and is now one of our Supervisors.

Over the years, Georgia has also worked across other Timbers Group venues, including Timbers and the Eat Inn Diner, giving her a wealth of experience throughout the business.

Ask Georgia what keeps her here, and the answer is simple — the people. The team has become like a second family, and her dedication, loyalty and hard work have made her an important part of the Café 21 story.

Meet Isla

Isla has been with the Timbers Group for around a year, bringing plenty of positivity, laughter and enthusiasm to every shift.

Before she even joined the team, Café 21 was already one of her favourite places to eat, so getting to work here felt like the perfect fit. Her top recommendations? The homemade lasagne and our Club Bagel.

Outside of the café, Isla has a real passion for filmmaking and is hoping to start film school this September. She's also an avid record collector, with one of her favourite finds being a first pressing of The Head on the Door by The Cure.

What she enjoys most about Café 21 is the sense of community. Whether it's sharing a laugh with colleagues or chatting with customers, she says no two days are ever the same.

Meet Cody

Cody has been part of the Timbers Group team for a year and a half and has quickly become a familiar face around Café 21.

If he's ordering breakfast, it's almost always Eggs Benedict with bacon and mushrooms—although he'll tell you the hash browns deserve a mention of their own.

Away from work, Cody is a huge film fan and enjoys regular trips to the cinema, keeping track of everything he watches on

Letterboxd.

For Cody, it's the people that make Café 21 such a great place to work. He values the friendships he's

built with the team and enjoys the welcoming atmosphere that makes every shift enjoyable. Being just a short walk from the town centre is a bonus, giving him the chance to squeeze in a bit of shopping after work.
